Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Oversee and streamline daily store and forecourt operations to ensure efficiency and excellence.
- Identify, analyse, and address shortages and shrinkage through effective stock and wet stock management.
- Monitor site performance and generate precise operational and management reports using Excel.
- Lead recruitment, coaching, training, and mentorship initiatives to uphold service standards and operational consistency.
- Deliver a superior customer experience across all service points, including the forecourt, convenience store, and café outlets.
- Manage high-volume cash handling and ensure accurate financial reconciliation processes.
- Oversee fuel reconciliation and back-office fuel systems, including PDI and Dover Fueling Solutions.
- Guarantee full compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental standards, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise operational workflows and adherence to policies and regulations.
Duties:
- Lead and manage daily store and forecourt operations.
- Minimise shortages and shrinkage through stock control and wet stock management.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports.
- Recruit, train, coach, and mentor staff.
- Ensure exceptional customer service delivery.
- Oversee financial controls, cash management, and fuel systems.
- Maintain HSSE compliance and safety standards.
- Implement operational improvements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' management experience in retail or similar environments.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and R for reporting and analysis.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Experience with financial management and stock control.
- Knowledge of fuel systems and back-office operations is advantageous.
- Ability to uphold safety standards and drive compliance.
Familiarity with the following:
- C programming language (beneficial but not essential)
- Management and operational reporting
- Industry compliance standards
