Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa is hiring for an Emergency Medical Technician to attend to emergency calls on-site in Bloemfontein. You will provide basic medical care within your scope of practice and support operational readiness.

Requirements include Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate, 6 months to 1 year road BLS experience (2 years desirable), and proven English proficiency. The role is permanent and on-site, with recruitment by Natalie Williams.

Qualifications

• Essential education: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate.
• Desirable: training on Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the HPCSA.
• Essential experience: 6 months to 1 year road BLS experience.
• Desirable experience: 2 years road BLS experience.
• Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal).

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate

DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months – 1-year road BLS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years road BLS experience
