Job summary

Mediclinic is seeking a qualified Emergency Medical Care professional to deliver excellent critical care within the ER24 operational environment, basing decisions on sound clinical judgment and current evidence. The role includes clinical leadership and coordination responsibilities in emergency responses.

Primary duties involve ensuring readiness for emergency calls, administering care within scope, maintaining community trust, and performing basic shift administration tasks in a fast-paced EMS

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Technology (Btech) Emergency Medical Care or Bachelor Emergency Medical Care required.
• Desirable completion of Health Professions Council of South Africa clinical practice guidelines training.
• If not compliant, training must be completed during probation if successful.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Required Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Bachelors of Technology (Btech) Emergency Medical Care or Bachelor Emergency Medical Care

DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

Required Experience

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Newly qualified ECP / Operational EMS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Previous EMS Operational experience
