Job summary

ER24 Southern Cape in George is seeking an Emergency Medical Responder to attend emergency calls and provide basic medical care in line with the scope of practice.

The role requires a Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate, 6 months to 1 year of road BLS experience, and English proficiency. HPCSA guideline training may be required during probation.

Qualifications

• Essential education: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate.
• Desirable education: Training related to HPCSA Clinical Practice Guidelines; if not compliant, training during probation.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To attend to emergency calls and provide basic medical care in line with scope of practice.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate

DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months – 1-year road BLS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years road BLS experience
