Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is seeking an Onsite IT Support Technician in Sandton to provide daily on-site support for ~50 users. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, manage Windows desktops, and assist with AD user accounts and email systems.

The role requires strong technical capabilities, excellent communication, and professional conduct within the client’s environment to maintain uptime and service quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on IT support in Microsoft-based environments.
• End-user desktop support for a network of ~50 users.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server, AD, and permissions.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 email environments.
• Solid networking fundamentals and proficiency with Office applications.

Red Ember is recruiting an Onsite IT Support Technician on behalf of our client based in Sandton to join their team.The ideal candidate will require strongtechnical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability torepresent our company professionally.

Provide daily onsite support to end users. Troubleshoot andresolve hardware, software, and network issues. Maintain and support Windowsdesktops and related infrastructure. Assist with user account administrationthrough Active Directory. Support email systems and ensure mail flowfunctionality. Communicate effectively with both technical and non ‑ technicalusers. Ensure professional conduct when dealing with the client’s staff andenvironment. Maintain clients environment and uptime.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on IT support experience, specifically withinMicrosoft-based environments.
  
• Proven experience providing end ‑ userdesktop support for a network of approximately 50 users.
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem, including:
• Windows Server
• Active Directory (user management, group policies, permissions)
• Level 1 desktop support experience, including troubleshootingand resolving OS, application, and hardware issues.
• Solid desktop hardware knowledge. Experience supportingMicrosoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 email environments.
• Good grasp of networking fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
