Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is seeking an Onsite IT Support Technician in Sandton to join a client team. The role focuses on resolving hardware, software, and network issues while maintaining Windows desktops and Active Directory user accounts.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on IT support experience in Microsoft environments, including Exchange and Microsoft 365 email, and a solid understanding of networking and Office apps. The position is onsite and client-facing.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on IT support experience in Microsoft environments.
• End-user desktop support for around 50 users.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem: Windows Server, Windows 11, AD, and file servers.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 email.
• Solid hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Good networking fundamentals and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Provide daily onsite support to end users. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Maintain and support Windows desktops and related infrastructure. Assist with user account administration through Active Directory. Support email systems and ensure mail flow functionality. Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical users. Ensure professional conduct when dealing with the client’s staff and environment. Maintain clients environment and uptime.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands‑on IT support experience, specifically within Microsoft-based environments.
• Proven experience providing end‑user desktop support for a network of approximately 50 users.
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem, including:Windows ServerWindows 11 desktopsActive Directory (user management, group policies, permissions)Windows File Server environmentsLevel 1 desktop support experience, including troubleshooting and resolving OS, application, and hardware issues.
