Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Field Support Technician to deliver on-site telecom support in Tembisa, ensuring networks stay operational and customer issues are resolved efficiently. You will be the face of the company in the field, combining technical skill with excellent service.

Ideal candidates have a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, hands-on telecom field service experience, and a valid driver’s license with willingness to travel across the service area.

Qualifications

• National Diploma required in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Hands-on telecom field service or technical support experience
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network hardware and software
• Familiarity with broadband technologies and mobile network infrastructure
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the service area

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment at customer sites
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues on-site
• Respond to service calls and support requests in a timely and professional manner
• Conduct site surveys and assess infrastructure needs for new installations or upgrades
• Provide basic training and support to end-users on the use of telecommunications services
