Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Curriculum Developer to create and update vocational training programs at our Kimberley, Northern Cape facility. You will design curricula that meet industry standards and prepare learners with practical skills for multiple trades.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in vocational education, curriculum design, and collaboration with SMEs and instructors. A portfolio of developed curricula and knowledge of adult learning principles are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Vocational Training, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years in curriculum development within vocational/technical education.
• Experience designing curricula for trades or practical skills training.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise vocational training curricula in line with industry requirements and accreditation standards.
• Design lesson plans, activities, assessments and instructional materials for multiple trades.
• Collaborate with SMEs and instructors to ensure accuracy and practicality.
• Incorporate adult learning principles and effective pedagogical strategies into curriculum design.
• Develop assessment tools to measure learner competency.
• Ensure materials are accessible, clear and engaging for diverse learners.
• Pilot and evaluate new curricula, revising based on feedback and data.
• Maintain records of curriculum development projects and stay updated on industry trends.
