Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer as a Performance Improvement Specialist in Upington, Northern Cape. The role focuses on analyzing and enhancing production processes using lean methodologies, time studies, and data-driven improvements to drive productivity and reduce costs.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of industrial engineering experience with strong analytical and communication skills, and a hands-on, proactive approach to implementing changes on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 4–6 years of industrial engineering experience focused on performance improvement and lean methodologies.
• Experience implementing lean tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing operational processes to identify performance gaps and bottlenecks.
• Develop and implement lean-based strategies (Kaizen, VSM, 5S) to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize productivity and establish performance metrics.
• Collect and interpret data to track progress and drive improvements.
• Lead performance improvement projects from conception to completion and train staff on new processes.
• Collaborate with teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and adoption of changes.
• Prepare SOPs and reports for management on findings and recommendations.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and technologies in performance improvement.
