The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping, and the ability to develop SOPs and training materials for optimized processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering, focusing on production efficiency and Lean Manufacturing.
• Proven experience applying Lean principles in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
• Proficiency in using process mapping tools and basic statistical analysis.
• Understanding of production planning and control systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with shop-floor and management.
• Experience in the mining support services industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and waste.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve production output, throughput and resource utilization.
• Utilize Lean tools and methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to drive improvements.
• Conduct time studies, motion studies and workflow analyses to establish optimal standards.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and teams to implement process changes and ensure buy-in.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and training materials for optimized processes.
• Monitor production performance metrics and identify areas needing attention.
• Assist in planning and layout of production facilities to optimize material flow and workspace.
• Support integration of new technologies or equipment to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure all processes comply with health, safety and environmental regulations in North West.
