Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced E-commerce Platform Specialist to manage online sales platforms, ensuring seamless customer experience and optimized sales. The role is based on-site in Rustenburg, North West, ZA, and requires hands-on platform administration and ongoing improvements.

You will oversee product listings, pricing, inventory synchronization, and feature enhancements while collaborating with developers to boost performance and sales insights.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Specialist, Platform Manager, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and their functionalities.
• Experience with product information management (PIM) and inventory management systems.
• Proficiency in using back-end e-commerce administration panels.
• Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights from sales and web analytics.
• Experience with HTML and CSS for minor website edits is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Rustenburg, North West, ZA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the e-commerce platform for site stability and performance.
• Manage product catalog: upload, update descriptions, pricing, and images.
• Ensure accurate inventory levels across all sales channels with warehouse coordination.
• Process and monitor online orders and respond to customer inquiries.
• Implement and manage promotions, discounts, and coupon codes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the platform.
• Collaborate with developers and designers on new features and enhancements.
• Analyze sales data, site traffic, and conversion rates for improvements.
• Stay updated on e-commerce trends and platform updates.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security protocols.
