Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Facilities Engineer with a strong Oil & Gas background to join our Mossel Bay team. You will ensure reliable operation, maintenance, and integrity of production facilities and infrastructure, and lead maintenance programs and minor projects.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, at least 5 years of facilities engineering experience in oil & gas, and solid knowledge of RBI, asset integrity, and project/contract management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in facilities engineering or maintenance in Oil & Gas.
• Proven experience in planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for production facilities and pipelines.
• Oversee maintenance contractors ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to facility equipment and systems.
• Plan and supervise minor modification and capital projects for facility upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and HSE policies.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, asset integrity status, and performance.
