Job summary

Placements24 in East London invites applications for a Facilities Integrity Engineer to support offshore energy assets. You will develop and implement integrity strategies, oversee inspections (visual, NDT), analyze data, and drive RBI-based risk reduction in lifecycle management.

The role partners with operations, maintenance, and project teams, requires a Mechanical/Materials Eng degree and 5+ years in asset integrity, with offshore exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years in asset integrity management or structural engineering in Oil & Gas, offshore preferred.
• Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms, materials science, and NDT techniques.
• Experience with integrity management software (e.g., RBI).
• Knowledge of API and DNV standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive integrity management strategies and plans for offshore facilities.
• Oversee inspection programs, including visual, NDT, and advanced NDT methods.
• Analyze inspection data and identify potential degradation mechanisms.
• Conduct risk-based assessments to prioritize maintenance and repair activities.
• Specify repair procedures and oversee their execution for technical integrity.
• Collaborate with design engineers on modifications to ensure integrity.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
• Prepare reports and present findings to management.
• Manage interface with third-party inspection agencies.
