Job summary

Orion Hotel Group is seeking an experienced Night Receptionist for our Safari Hotel & Convention Centre in Rustenburg, North West. You will be the first point of contact for guests during night hours, handling check-ins, reservations, inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming, secure environment.

You will coordinate with housekeeping, manage payments, prepare night audit reports, and maintain accurate guest records using Protel or Opera PMS.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a customer-facing role within hospitality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with hotel management software (PMS).
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in guests at night, ensuring a smooth welcome.
• Manage reservations, inquiries, and provide information about hotel services.
• Handle guest requests promptly and courteously.
• Process payments, manage cash, and keep accurate records during shift.
• Oversee hotel security during night hours and coordinate with teams as needed.
• Coordinate with housekeeping/maintenance regarding room status.
• Address guest complaints professionally and follow up for resolution.
• Prepare night audit reports and maintain guest transaction records.
