Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst to join their Centurion team. You will monitor the health and performance of the telecoms network, identify incidents, and ensure service continuity in a 24/7 environment.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst to join their team in Centurion . This critical role involves monitoring the health and performance of the company's vast telecommunications network, identifying and responding to incidents, and ensuring service continuity. You will be at the forefront of maintaining network stability, working within a 24/7 operational environment to safeguard against disruptions. This position is ideal for analytical individuals who excel under pressure and are passionate about network uptime and operational excellence in a fast-paced tech setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic, system performance, and application availability using advanced NOC tools.
• Identify, diagnose, and elevate network and system incidents according to established procedures.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and provide timely resolution for common network issues.
• Coordinate with field technicians and other support teams to resolve complex problems and outages.
• Document all incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of NOC processes and best practices for network operations .

Requirements

• Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar IT support environment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and ticketing systems.
• Understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, and common networking concepts.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as part of a rotating schedule.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective incident reporting and collaboration in Centurion .
