Job summary

Direct Hire is seeking a Training and Development Specialist to deliver technical training and ensure the implementation and maintenance of interventions in line with legal and organisational needs and SETA requirements.

The role requires coordinating training material, assessing learner competency, and maintaining records while interacting with stakeholders such as DMRE and management to optimise resources and ensure safety, health, environment and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/N3 or higher qualification in ETDP.
• Higher Certificate or National Diploma in ETDP (Level 5).
• Registered Assessor and Moderator for mining qualifications.
• Blasting certificate.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility.
• Coordinate and plan the flow of training to optimise resources.
• Manage learner training records and assessment processes.
• Interact with customers and familiarise yourself with operational concerns or HRD issues.
• Maintain training materials and equipment per specifications.
• Ensure compliance with MHSA training requirements and QTCO accreditation criteria.
