Qualifications

  • Grade 12 is required.
  • A relevant qualification in Skills Development Facilitator Training & Development is required.
  • Extensive experience in training administration and coordinating programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate scheduling, implementation and logistics of training programmes (venues, materials, equipment, communication).
  • Liaise with employees, managers, facilitators, assessors and providers to ensure effective training coordination.
  • Maintain training records, learner docs, attendance, matrices and expiry information.
  • Monitor mandatory and refresher training, track completion and identify gaps.
  • Coordinate learnerships, apprenticeships and workplace-based training initiatives and related documentation.
  • Assist with training procurement, quotations, POs and budget monitoring.
  • Capture and analyse training evaluation results and prepare periodic reports.

Job description

HR Department | SAFLog

Based on:

SAFLog is looking for a Training Coordinator to support workforce development and compliance.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Coordinate the scheduling, implementation and logistical arrangements of employee training programmes, including venues, materials, equipment and communication.
  • Liaise with employees, line managers, facilitators, assessors, moderators, training providers and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective training coordination.
  • Maintain accurate training records, learner documentation, attendance registers, training matrices and employee competency, qualification, licence and expiry information.
  • Monitor mandatory, safety-critical, refresher and other training requirements, track completion and identify outstanding training and compliance gaps.
  • Coordinate learnerships, apprenticeships, skills programmes and workplace-based training initiatives, including learner registration, progress tracking and related SETA/QCTO documentation.
  • Assist with training procurement and financial administration, including quotations, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices and monitoring training expenditure against the approved budget.
  • Capture and analyze training evaluation results, prepare periodic training reports
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
  • Relevant qualification in Skills Development Facilitator Training & Development related field.
Experience
  • 2–3 years' experience in training administration, learning and development.
  • Experience coordinating training programmes and external training providers.
  • Experience maintaining training records and preparing reports.
  • Experience working with training management systems or HR systems.
Knowledge Required:
  • Knowledge of training and development processes, including administration, coordination, and workplace-based learning.
  • Understanding SETA and QCTO requirements, skills development processes, and training compliance documentation.
  • Knowledge of training records, occupational health and safety training requirements, procurement, and invoice administration.
  • Strong Microsoft Office, data capturing, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
