Placements24 is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to represent our portfolio in the Queenstown region. This field-based role engages with key healthcare professionals, researchers, and academic institutions to disseminate scientific data and gather insights.

The ideal candidate holds an advanced scientific degree and 3–5 years in medical affairs or related pharma roles, with excellent communication and presentation skills and willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree required (Pharm.D./Ph.D./M.D./equivalent).
• 3–5 years of experience in medical affairs, clinical development, or related roles in pharma.
• Strong ability to discuss complex scientific concepts with clinicians and researchers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with KOLs and healthcare providers.
• Deliver scientific presentations and respond to medical information requests.
• Gather insights on unmet medical needs, clinical practice, and emerging research trends.
• Support planning and execution of local medical education initiatives and advisory boards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure aligned scientific communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers within assigned therapeutic areas.
• Deliver scientific presentations and respond to unsolicited requests for medical information.
• Gather insights from medical experts regarding unmet medical needs, clinical practice, and emerging research trends.
• Support the planning and execution of local medical education initiatives and advisory boards.
• Collaborate with internal medical, clinical development, and marketing teams to ensure aligned scientific communication.
• Represent the company at scientific congresses and relevant medical meetings.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent) in a relevant therapeutic area.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical affairs, clinical development, or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Demonstrated ability to engage in complex scientific and medical discussions with clinicians and researchers.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
