Placements24 is seeking a highly knowledgeable Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join its medical affairs team on a fully remote basis, supporting the Vereeniging region. This role acts as a scientific bridge between the company and key opinion leaders, disseminating complex information and gathering insights to advance patient care.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and articulate Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their expanding medical affairs team on a fully remote basis, supporting the Vereeniging region. This role serves as a critical scientific bridge between the company and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the medical community. You will be responsible for disseminating complex scientific information, gathering insights, and fostering collaborative relationships that advance medical understanding and patient care. This fully remote position requires exceptional scientific acumen and communication skills, allowing you to operate autonomously while driving scientific engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and researchers in assigned therapeutic areas.
• Deliver accurate and compelling scientific and clinical information regarding the company's products and therapeutic areas.
• Identify and support potential research collaborations and investigator-initiated studies.
• Gather and communicate key insights from the field regarding treatment practices, unmet medical needs, and competitive intelligence.
• Represent the company at scientific congresses, symposia, and advisory board meetings.
• Ensure all scientific interactions comply with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent) in a relevant life science discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical affairs, clinical development, or a related role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Deep understanding of a specific therapeutic area (e.g., oncology, cardiology, immunology).
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, suitable for remote engagement.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with KOLs and translate complex scientific data.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory as needed.
