Job summary

Communicate Engineering is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building services design for complex construction projects. You will focus on HVAC, fire compliance, and full mechanical building and plant design while ensuring safety, reliability and sustainability.

Requirements include 10+ years in Building Services, 5+ years post‑registration in mechanical design and Construction Management, with expertise in CAD, Revit and BIM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in Building Services engineering and design.
• Minimum 5 years post‑registration in mechanical design including Construction Management.
• Strong technical background with solid construction knowledge and project management.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical building services specifications and designs to meet client needs.
• Collaborate with architects and contractors to ensure feasibility and compliance.
• Use CAD, Revit and BIM for design creation and refinement.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost–benefit analyses for new designs.
• Manage project documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with project team for timely, quality completion.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose improvements.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description:

Skills & Experience

4. Solid working knowledge of construction implementation processes and standards as well as project management principles
5. Excellent design skills
6. Must have MS Office experience

Educational Qualifications

Qualification:

1. BSc or BEng or BTech in Mechanical Engineering
2. Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer
