Job summary

Telkom Openserve seeks a Tech Officer: CNFO Mast and Towers Climber to perform assurance, fulfilment, acceptance, commissioning and preventive maintenance on core network and access technologies. Certified climber with fall arrest training required.

Requires Electrical Engineering diploma (NQF 6/4) and Maths/Science at Grade 12, plus 3 years of relevant telecom experience. Valid climbing certificate or willingness to train, and ability to travel and work after hours are essential.

Qualifications

• Certification as a mast and tower climber is required.
• 3 years relevant experience in telecom/maintenance is preferred.
• Valid climbing and/or fall arrest certification or willingness to undergo training.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMT and routine maintenance on wireless and optic technologies.
• Facilitate site access and admin tasks; update records and reports.
• Commission equipment and execute ATPs; document test results.
• Perform comply with DOP, OSS processes and safety rules.
• Travel and stay out as required; work overtime when needed.
