Job summary

Telkom South Africa is seeking a Tech Officer: Network Field Operations for our Openserve division based in Calvinia. The role covers installing, recovering, repairing and maintaining telephone equipment, cables, fibre technology and related products to meet customer needs.

The position requires 1 year in Network Field Ops, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel. You will report to management and work in a technical environment with strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Network Field Operations.
• NQF 4/Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources to achieve objectives and analyse requirements.
• Inspect resources, maintain tool lists and update records.
• Perform network inspections, liaise with customers/contractors and provide feedback.
• Install, recover, repair and maintain telephone equipment, cables, fibre and related systems.
