Job summary

Telkom Openserve seeks a Tech Officer: CNFO Mast and Towers Climber to perform assurance, fulfilment, acceptance and maintenance on Core Network and Access technologies. Must be a certified climber and willing to undergo fall arrest training.

The role requires NQF 6 or equivalent, 3 years operational experience, and ability for on-site work after hours and travel. You will handle maintenance, commissioning, and compliance across wireless, IP, and transmission systems.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering diploma (N6/S4) Light Current (NQF level 6) or Grade 12 with Maths & Science.
• 3 years relevant experience at Operational level; 1 year also mentioned for some cases.
• Valid climbing and/or fall arrest certificate or willingness to undergo fall arrest training.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on core network and access technologies, and manage site access and records.
• Commission installations, perform ATP tests, provide after-service support and report back.
• Ensure compliance with DOP/OSS processes, perform audits, and manage equipment and asset records.
