Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineering Specialist to join their production facility in Vereeniging. You will analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, and drive cost reductions and productivity gains.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, 3–5 years in manufacturing, and strong lean, data analysis, and collaboration skills. You will implement 5S, Kaizen, and value stream improvements in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years in an industrial engineering or manufacturing support role.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing concepts (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Experience with data analysis and process mapping tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction.
• Develop and implement solutions using lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Design and optimize plant layouts, material flow, and work systems for improved productivity.
• Collect and analyze operational data to support decision-making and track performance metrics.
• Collaborate with production staff and management to implement process changes and ensure successful adoption.
• Conduct time studies and ergonomic assessments to improve work efficiency and safety.
