Job summary

Dixie Recruitment is seeking an IT Desktop Technician to provide first-line support in a manufacturing environment based in Stanger, KwaZulu-Natal. You will install, maintain and troubleshoot desktop hardware, operating systems, peripherals and network connectivity while supporting production operations on a shift basis.

The role requires Matric, A+/N+ certs, and at least 1 year of end-user and hardware support experience. Shift work and 24/7 production support are involved.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is required.
• A+ and N+ certifications are essential.
• Minimum 1 year of end-user support experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience with desktop hardware, laptops, scanners and printers.
• Minimum 1 year experience in network support and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and repair desktop hardware and operating systems.
• Provide first-line IT support for the production environment.
• Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, scanner and peripheral issues.
• Support basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Assist senior IT staff in investigating and resolving technical issues.
• Assist with IT infrastructure projects implementation and support.
• Document IT support procedures and technical processes.
• Deliver excellent customer service with timely resolution of requests.
