Job summary

Dixie Recruitment is seeking an IT Desktop Technician to provide first-line support in a manufacturing environment based in Stanger, KwaZulu-Natal. You will install, maintain and troubleshoot desktop hardware, operating systems, peripherals and network connectivity while supporting production operations on a shift basis.

The role requires Matric, A+/N+ certs, and at least 1 year of end-user and hardware support experience. Shift work and 24/7 production support are involved.

Qualifications

Matric / Grade 12 is required.
A+ and N+ certifications are essential.
Minimum 1 year of end-user support experience.
Minimum 1 year experience with desktop hardware, laptops, scanners and printers.
Minimum 1 year experience in network support and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and repair desktop hardware and operating systems.
Provide first-line IT support for the production environment.
Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, scanner and peripheral issues.
Support basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
Assist senior IT staff in investigating and resolving technical issues.
Assist with IT infrastructure projects implementation and support.
Document IT support procedures and technical processes.
Deliver excellent customer service with timely resolution of requests.
