Job summary

Mr Price Group Technology is hiring a Service Desk Technician in Durban to deliver first line support and troubleshooting for store users. You will handle calls and emails, escalate issues, and assist suppliers using our software.

A Grade 12 and IT diploma/certificate are required, with at least 1 year in IT or helpdesk. The role involves up to 40 hours per week over 5 days including weekends, 8-hour shifts aligned to service desk hours, and a preference for reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Experience in an IT or Helpdesk environment
• Good general knowledge of computer hardware and software
• Knowledge of POS system is a major advantage
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
• Strong administration skills
• Strong ability to work accurately with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Providing telephonic and email 1st line support and troubleshooting to all computer users at all Stores, within the Mr Price Group
• Liaise with external service providers to escalate problems where required
• Support our suppliers who use our software.
• You will be required to work a maximum of 40 hours, over a maximum of 5 days per week including Saturdays and Sundays.
• You would be required to work an 8-hour shift in line with the Service Desk operating hours.
• Your own reliable transport is preferred.
