Samancor is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee safe and cost-effective maintenance of auxiliary plant and facilities. You will lead artisans and contractors, ensure high workmanship, and drive compliance with IMS and SHEQ standards.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, incident investigation, resource planning, and managing unplanned interventions while maintaining productivity and safety on site.

Mansioni

• Identify and assess risk exposures in the maintenance area considering business, financial, legal, people, equipment, material, environment, and processes.
• Apply mitigation and implement controls for residual risk, set objectives and minimum requirements.
• Ensure SHEQ compliance within the team using the Toolbox and IMS for status reporting.
• Supervise maintenance planning and execution to ensure safe, efficient work and high workmanship standards.
• Coordinate unplanned interventions by prioritising breakdowns, arranging resources, and managing schedules.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs such as planned work adherence, downtime and proactive requests.
• Manage contractor activities on site and document acceptance of work.
