Job summary

A maintenance supervisor/foreman role in Amanzimtoti, South Africa, is open for an experienced candidate. The successful person will plan, coordinate and supervise maintenance across multiple trades to ensure plant reliability, safety, and productivity.

We seek a trade-qualified professional with 8+ years in maintenance, including 3+ in supervisory roles, and CMMS SAP PM experience. Strong safety knowledge and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification with Red Seal or equivalent.
• 8+ years in maintenance with 3+ in supervision.
• Experience in heavy industrial or steel/plants environment preferred.
• CMMS usage and maintenance planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, allocate and supervise daily multi-disciplinary maintenance teams.
• Coordinate planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Plan and manage shutdowns, overhauls and major repairs.
• Ensure work is safe, on time and to standard.
• Enforce health and safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Monitor KPIs like equipment availability and schedule adherence.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage spares with stores and procurement.
• Oversee completion of job cards and CMMS records.
• Handle team performance, training and shifts.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to align maintenance with needs.
