Job summary

MyCareerCraft in the Cape Winelands is seeking a skilled Reservation Coordinator (Permanent) to oversee the reservations function for a leading luxury hospitality establishment. You will manage bookings, lead a reservations team, and drive revenue through smart rate and inventory decisions.

The ideal candidate has a tertiary hospitality qualification, 5+ years as Reservations Manager, and experience with luxury properties.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in hospitality or related field.
At least 5 years experience as a Reservations Manager.
Experience at a luxury establishment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Solid understanding of revenue management strategies and systems.
Proficient in hotel management software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a guest-first mindset.
Ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily reservations operations and ensure accurate, efficient handling of all bookings.
Manage and train the reservations team to deliver exceptional guest service.
Maximize room revenue through effective rate and inventory management.
Maintain accurate records and reporting using Protel Air or similar systems.
Handle VIP and special bookings with professionalism and attention to detail.
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to optimize occupancy and guest experience.
