Placements24 is seeking a proactive Banqueting & Events Coordinator for a luxury coastal resort in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will liaise with clients, coordinate with resort departments, and manage on-site logistics to deliver memorable events.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple events, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules. On-site in Mossel Bay.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in event coordination, banqueting, or hospitality management.
• Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Familiarity with event management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact for clients regarding banqueting and event arrangements.
• Develop event proposals and contracts outlining services and costs.
• Coordinate room setup, AV requirements, and menu selections with culinary team.
• Manage event timelines and deadlines.
• Supervise on-site event execution to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Liaise with hotel departments to meet client needs.
• Conduct pre-event meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues during events.
• Maintain accurate event files and post-event reports.
• Develop strategies to enhance the resort's banqueting and events offering.
