About the Role

Our client requires a meticulous and organized Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Tembisa. This role is central to ensuring the smooth flow of goods and information throughout the supply chain. You will be responsible for coordinating transportation, managing documentation, and liaising with various stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and customers, to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. The successful candidate will play a key part in optimizing logistics processes and contributing to the efficiency of our client's Logistics & Warehousing operations, embracing a hybrid work model that balances office-based collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of goods.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
• Track shipments and provide regular updates to internal teams and external clients.
• Liaise with transportation providers to negotiate rates and ensure service level agreements are met.
• Resolve any logistical issues or discrepancies that may arise during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities and prepare relevant reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of shipping procedures, transportation modes, and customs regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively coordinate with diverse parties.
• A relevant qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
