Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Online Learning Platform Manager in Sandton to oversee the LMS and digital education tools. This hybrid role combines technical leadership with instructional design and project management to enhance learning experiences for students and educators alike.

You will collaborate with IT, academic departments, and vendors to drive innovation and optimize platforms, ensuring reliable and user-friendly online education delivery across the institution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing online learning platforms (LMS).
• Strong understanding of e-learning principles, instructional design, and web-based technologies.
• Proficiency with LMS systems (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) and integrating third-party tools.
• Excellent project management, analytical and communication skills; experience in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations, administration, and strategic development of the LMS.
• Oversee integration of new technologies to enhance user experience and functionality.
• Provide technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students on the LMS and tools.
• Collaborate with content creators and instructional designers to deliver online course materials.
• Analyze platform usage data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.
