Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in civil litigation.
• Solid understanding of court rules, civil procedure, and evidence law.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
• Strong advocacy and courtroom presence.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in legal research databases and case management software.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of litigation cases from inception through to resolution.
• Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution forums.
• Interview clients and witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare case strategies.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and prepare settlement agreements.
• Collaborate with senior partners and other legal professionals on case strategy and execution.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and ensure timely communication with clients.
