Job summary

Rosebank College, the Independent Institute of Education, invites applications for a lecturer in information systems. You will teach based on module requirements, engage students, track progress, and support assessment development in collaboration with the Central Academic Team.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's (NQF9) in information systems or related field with research methodology, and has 2–3 years teaching or tutoring experience, plus potential industry exposure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (NQF 9) in information systems/computer science or information technology with a research methods component and a dissertation/project.
• Honours degree in Information Systems/CS/IT at NQF 8, plus a master's in a related field with a research component.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and engage students according to module pacers.
• Manage resources including academic materials and consult with the Information Centre.
• Update the learning management system and provide feedback to students.
• Engage and prepare students for assessments and identify at‑risk students.
• Monitor student engagement and assessment submissions with escalation.
• Attend and participate in academic meetings across faculties.
• Reflect on, review and analyse student module results.
• Support monitoring of at‑risk students in assigned modules.
