Job summary

Rosebank College, the Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), invites applications for a lecturer to teach on postgraduate modules in information systems. You will deliver lectures, support assessments, track progress and engage with the Central Academic Team to identify at-risk modules.

The role requires a Master’s degree with research methodology, an honours degree, and postgraduate supervision experience.

Qualifications

Master's degree in information systems/computer science or information technology with a research methodology component.
Honours degree in IS/CS/IT with master's degree and a research component.
Lecturing experience in research methods and development of research models.
Experience supervising postgraduate students at NQF 8 or equivalent.
Experience with qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods and/or design science research methodologies.
Copy of academic transcript.

Responsibilities

Deliver lectures and engage students per module pacers.
Manage resources including academic materials and the Information Centre.
Update learning management system and provide feedback to students.
Prepare students for assessments and develop assessments in collaboration with Central Academic Team.
Monitor student engagement and assessment submissions with escalation.
Attend and participate in academic meetings across faculties.
Reflect on, review and analyse student module results.
Support monitoring of at-risk students in assigned modules.
Complete a set number of academic professional development interventions per cycle.
