Job summary

Placements24 in Sandton is seeking a dedicated Lean Manufacturing Specialist to drive efficiency across operations. You will implement lean principles, eliminate waste, and foster a culture of continuous improvement with production teams and management.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, at least 5 years of lean experience, and certification such as Lean Practitioner or Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience implementing lean manufacturing programs.
• Certified Lean Practitioner or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Experience with lean tools: VSM, 5S, Kanban and Poka-Yoke.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and sustainment of lean manufacturing initiatives across production areas.
• Conduct value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen events, and other lean improvement activities.
• Train and coach employees on lean principles and tools.
• Analyze production data to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and track KPIs related to lean initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of lean practices.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
