Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Lean Engineer in Benoni to drive lean transformation across production and operations, fostering continuous improvement, eliminating waste, and boosting efficiency and quality in Gauteng.

You will lead Kaizen events, implement 5S, Poka-Yoke, and VSM, train staff, and track KPIs, with a track record in waste reduction and strong change-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Proven track record in waste reduction and process optimization.
• Certification or demonstrable expertise in Lean methodologies.
• Strong facilitation, training, and change management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification, analysis and elimination of waste across operational processes.
• Implement and manage Lean tools including 5S, Kaizen, VSM, and Poka-Yoke.
• Facilitate cross-functional Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops.
• Develop and track KPIs related to lean initiatives.
• Train and coach employees on Lean principles and practices.
• Support the integration of Lean with Six Sigma.
