Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineering Specialist near Rustenburg to drive production efficiency and optimise workflows. You will apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Kaizen to cut waste and improve throughput, while designing plant layouts and SOPs for ongoing improvements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and at least four years in manufacturing settings, with skills in process mapping, simulation (FlexSim/Arena) and statistics (Minitab).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering required.
• Minimum of 4 years in industrial engineering within production/manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred) and Kaizen.
• Proficiency in process mapping, simulation software and statistical tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production lines to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Develop and implement Lean/Six Sigma process improvements.
• Design and optimize layouts and workflows for space and flow.
• Create SOPs and work instructions for production processes.
• Use data tools to track performance and trends.
