Job summary

Placements24 in South Africa is seeking an Industrial Process Specialist to analyze current production processes, identify inefficiencies, and support Lean implementations to boost efficiency and reduce costs.

You will work with production teams to standardize SOPs, layout production areas for optimal workflow, and conduct time and motion studies to establish performance standards. A degree in Industrial Engineering and 2–4 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or process specialist role.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement concepts.
• Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques; CAD software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing and operational processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key industrial processes.
• Assist in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques to reduce waste.
• Support the design and layout of production areas to improve workflow and material handling.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish performance standards and identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and team leads to implement process changes effectively.
