Job summary

Placements24 seeks a meticulous Structural Engineer to lead coastal and marine projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Design and analyze structures under challenging marine conditions to ensure safety and longevity.

You will use SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro and CAD tools while collaborating with architects and engineers. A Bachelor’s in Structural/Civil Engineering and 6+ years of coastal experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with structural specialization.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant structural design experience.
• Experience with coastal or marine projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze building structures, bridges, piers, and coastal infrastructure.
• Perform structural calculations and ensure code compliance and safety.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers for integrated designs.
• Assess existing structures and propose rehabilitation or strengthening.
