Qualifications

• BEng or equivalent in Civil Engineering with structural focus.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is desirable (or equivalent).
• 7+ years of progressive experience in structural design of buildings.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design of building structures using advanced software.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications and reports.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards (SANS).
• Conduct site inspections and provide support during construction.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients.
• Mentor junior structural engineers and technicians.
• Review contractor submittals and respond to site queries.
• Manage structural design components to meet timelines and budgets.
• Contribute to technical development and innovation in the department.
