About the Role

Our client, a prestigious golf club situated in the Pretoria, Gauteng area, is looking for an experienced and dedicated Lead Golf Operations Specialist to manage the day-to-day operations of their golf facilities. This role is integral to providing an exceptional experience for members and guests, encompassing course management coordination, tournament organization, and proactive player assistance. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of golf operations, exceptional customer service skills, and a passion for the sport. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the efficient operation of the golf course, including tee time management, player flow, and pace of play monitoring.
• Coordinate and execute various golf tournaments and events, from corporate days to club championships, ensuring smooth logistics and participant satisfaction.
• Manage the golf cart fleet, ensuring availability, cleanliness, and proper functioning.
• Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist with the management of the golf driving range and practice facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and accessible.
• Liaise with the golf course superintendent regarding course conditions and playability, communicating updates to golfers.
• Implement and enforce club rules and golf etiquette to ensure a positive playing environment for everyone in Pretoria.
• Assist in managing inventory for golf-related supplies and equipment.
• Support the Golf Director with administrative tasks, reporting, and operational improvements.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed on the course and practice areas.
