Job summary

Interpath in Cape Town seeks an accomplished Manager to join the newly launched Transaction Services team. You will lead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence for high-profile clients, supervising junior staff and delivering rigorous reporting to tight timelines.

You’ll work with a cross-border team, using Alteryx, Power BI and advanced Excel to analyse earnings quality, net debt and working capital, while developing client relationships and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CA/SA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Around 7–10 years post-qualification experience, with at least 5 in transaction services or financial due diligence.
• Experience running FDD workstreams independently and reviewing others.
• Experience supervising juniors and delivering feedback.
• Strong grasp of earnings quality, net debt and working capital and their buyers’ relevance.
• Advanced Excel and ability to handle large datasets.
• Clear written English to report standards.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power Query or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead FDD workstreams day-to-day from information request through drafted findings.
• Build core analysis of target trading performance, earnings, working capital and net debt.
• Prepare the initial report draft for your workstreams.
• Manage information requests and Q&A, escalating when needed.
• Supervise and review junior colleagues before submission.
• Manage and develop a small team, with feedback and development planning.
• Coach colleagues on live engagements and deliver technical training.
• Present findings to the deal team and participate in management meetings.
• Manage timelines and budget, flagging scope changes as needed.
