Job summary

Interpath Advisory is expanding its Transaction Services team in Cape Town, delivering financial due diligence across high-profile domestic and cross-border deals for private equity and corporate clients. The Senior Associate role offers exposure to the full deal lifecycle, with mentoring from Directors and opportunities in business development and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or finalist (CA(SA)/ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of experience, including at least 2 in financial due diligence or audit with deal exposure.
• Advanced Excel skills with high attention to detail under time pressure.
• Understanding of quality of earnings analyses and their purpose beyond mechanics.
• Clear written English to report standards.

Responsibilities

• Build the financial analysis underpinning the team's conclusions (trading performance, margins, etc.).
• Prepare working capital, net debt, and other supporting schedules.
• Reconcile analysis to source records (management/statutory accounts, trial balance).
• Prepare tables and charts for the report to required standards.
• Maintain information request list and flag missing items.
• Support Q&A process and prep for management meetings.
• Address review points thoroughly, resolving root causes.
