Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in catering or hospitality.
• Proven experience in event service management and staff supervision.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, etiquette, and presentation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure during high-volume events.
• Good understanding of health, safety, and sanitation protocols in a food service environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site catering staff during events, providing clear direction and support.
• Ensure the highest standards of food and beverage service, presentation, and client satisfaction are met.
• Manage event setup and breakdown, ensuring all equipment, décor, and service stations are arranged efficiently and attractively.
• Conduct pre-event briefings with staff, outlining event details, roles, and responsibilities.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, temperature, and presentation throughout service.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently, resolving issues to ensure client satisfaction.
• Manage inventory of service supplies and equipment on-site, reporting any shortages or damages.
• Train and mentor junior catering staff, promoting best practices in service delivery.
• Communicate effectively with the event planning team and kitchen staff to ensure seamless event execution.
