Job summary

iX engineers (Pty) Ltd. seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to lead feasibility studies, design, and implementation of bulk water infrastructure. You will perform hydraulic modelling, prepare proposals, and manage project deliverables while ensuring HSE compliance.

Requirements include a BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering and ECSA Pr Eng registration, with at least 5 years in water projects and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Mandatory BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering and ECSA Pr Eng registration.
• Minimum 5 years' postgraduate civil engineering experience in water.
• Experience in delivering multidisciplinary water infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design, and implementation of bulk water infrastructure.
• Perform advanced hydraulic modelling using Civil 3D IDAS and KY Pipe for surge analyses.
• Prepare and lead technical proposals and tender submissions for complex water projects.
• Manage project deliverables and align with client requirements and objectives.
• Oversee HSE risk identification and mitigation during design and construction.
• Provide technical guidance, supervision, and mentoring to junior staff.
