Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a strong emphasis on safety.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in process safety engineering within the chemical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of PSM elements and risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, COMAH) and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in hazard identification and risk assessment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), including HAZOP, What-If, and FMEA studies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain process safety management (PSM) programs.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to plant personnel.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate safety into the design of new processes and equipment.
