Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Chemical Process Engineer in Rustenburg, North West to optimize fertilizer and agrochemical production. You will design and refine processes, run simulations, and ensure safety and environmental standards are met.

With 7+ years in chemical processing, you will lead improvements, mentor teams, and collaborate across production, maintenance, and R&D to enhance yield and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in chemical process engineering, preferably within fertilizers/agrochemicals or bulk chemicals.
• Strong knowledge of unit operations such as reaction, distillation, drying, and granulation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize design and operation of chemical processes for fertilizer and agrochemical production.
• Conduct process simulations, mass and energy balance calculations, and P&ID development.
• Troubleshoot process issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to improve reliability and yield.
• Lead process improvement initiatives focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainability.
• Ensure SHE regulations and company policies are followed.
