Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Chemical Engineer for our Rustenburg operations to lead advanced process design, development, and project execution. You will drive safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance while mentoring junior engineers and guiding strategic decisions.

You will manage complex projects from concept to completion, apply deep knowledge of reaction engineering, process control and thermodynamics, and stay abreast of industry best practices to deliver impactful

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering required.
• 7+ years of experience in chemical process design, project management and plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of reaction engineering, process control and thermodynamics.
• Proven track record leading complex engineering projects and driving process improvements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new chemical processes and technologies.
• Provide expert guidance on process optimization, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for complex operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures including HAZOP studies.
• Manage projects from conception to completion within budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers to enhance technical capabilities.
• Stay updated with industry advancements and best practices to propose innovative solutions.
