Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Lead Architect in Stellenbosch, Western Cape to drive sustainable design projects from concept to completion. You will lead design teams, develop innovative concepts, and ensure compliance with South African building codes and Green Star standards.

The role rewards a visionary leader with a strong portfolio, SACAP registration, and 10+ years of experience in leading architecture projects.

Qualifications

Must have a Master's degree in Architecture and SACAP registration.
Minimum 10 years of progressive architectural experience, with at least 3 years in a Lead Architect or Senior role.
Demonstrated experience in sustainable and green building design and strong portfolio.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor architectural design teams on various projects.
Develop innovative and sustainable design concepts and master plans.
Oversee the entire design process, ensuring adherence to project briefs, budgets, and timelines.
Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, and consultants to deliver integrated design solutions.
Ensure designs comply with building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards (e.g., Green Star).
Prepare and present design proposals and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure design integrity.
